Show her the pain
Then hold her hand
And bring her to where the rainbows are

Melt the ice
Give her smiles
Give her hugs
Teach her to appreciate what she has
Tell her to peek outside the window to mind the flowers
Let her know that she can talk to the stars
Give her ink and paper
Let her write about her days and her dreams
Open her palm and give her color
Let her write about red, white, and black
Teach her how to sort her thoughts
And to focus on the bright ones
Dance with her
Make her feel like a princess
Give her melodies where she can be safe in
Make her sing
Let her hope when emptiness surrounds her
Teach her how to feel
Teach her how to express her heart
Let her write
